Trustee Steph Millard

Proud Mum to a gorgeous little human.

Happiest when I have sand between my toes and the sound of the sea around me and have recently reignited my love of ballet!

I’m terrible with words, but fantastic with numbers so my work is very much behind the scenes for our fantastic cause.

*Oh and I’m proudly the chief taste tester for Mumma Millard’s delicious delectable’s.

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce you to our charity patron, Alex Beresford!

You may recognise Alex from ITV’s Good Morning Britain, bringing you all the sunshine on ITV weather and recently as a presenter on ITV’s All Around Britain with Julia Bradbury

To Benj, Alex was a good friend. Together with an incredible bunch of mates they spent many nights and holidays together, making many, many happy memories!

In fact since Benj’s bowel cancer diagnosis we learnt that their close group of friends each had their own superhero nickname for one another… Benj’s was Thanos, hence you may have seen our #teamthanos hashtag on a number of our posts and events.

Benj’s lifetime love of superhero’s initially sparked the design of our Superpoop logo for The Bowel Movement. The connotation of the superhuman also felt incredibly apt for anyone who is faced with, lives with or deals with a bowel cancer diagnosis of their own.

Superhuman ~ The power to exert force beyond what is physically possible!

It really means the world to have Alex as a young, male advocate for our charity. His values of honesty, integrity and compassion are inextricably linked to our own and we feel that having Alex as a patron of The Bowel Movement helps to demonstrate this ethos throughout our work.
